Mrs. Jessica Nicole Howle

It is with deep sorrow that Mr. Lonnie Alex Howle announces the death of his beloved wife, Mrs. Jessica Nicole Howle, 32. Mrs. Howle entered into rest on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by the love of her family at the time of her passing. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 1 o’clock on Saturday, 22, 2025, at the Dovesville Church of God, Darlington, SC, with The Rev. Robert Goins and The Rev. Perry Kelly officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Flowers may be sent in her honor to the funeral home or the Howle residence. Jessica was born on Saturday, April 11, 1992, in Hartsville, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Staci Perkins Johnson. She graduated from Hartsville High School in 2010, earned her associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy at Florence-Darlington Technical College in 2016, and was actively pursuing her Bachelor of Science at Arizona State University. Jessica was a woman of compassion, always putting the needs of others before her own. If anyone embodied what it meant to be a Proverbs 31 woman, it was Jessica. Her light showed as she cared for others and truly loved as Jesus did. Many recall Jessica for her infectious smile, her kind heart, and her ability to bring joy into any room she entered. Though her time with us was far too short, her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and all those whose lives she touched. In her spare time, Jessica enjoyed being surrounded by her friends and family, playing game nights on Fridays, and being in church whenever the doors were open. She would be the first to invite you to come sit with her at Dovesville Church of God, where she was an integral part of the church community. Her love for the Lord shone brightly every Sunday. She faithfully sang in the church choir, often joined by her husband and son, offering her voice in praise and worship. Her family’s shared love for music and faith was an inspiration to many, and the joy she found in serving the Lord through song was a reflection of her deep commitment to Him. One of the greatest joys in Jessica’s life was being her son’s biggest cheerleader. Weston, a talented little baseball player, brought immense pride and joy to her life. She was always at his games, either in the stands with a smile or in the dugout, offering encouragement and celebrating every hit, catch, and victory. To her, watching him play was not just about the game but about supporting her son’s passions, encouraging his hard work, and cherishing every moment of his young life. Her love for him was reflected in the countless hours spent cheering from the sidelines, proud of the young man he was becoming both on and off the field. In addition to her family and faith, Jessica also made a profound impact on her coworkers at MUSC and Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, where she was the supervisor of the Respiratory Therapy department. She worked with love and dedication every time she walked through the doors. She was known as someone who approached every task with compassion and care, treating her patients and colleagues with the utmost respect. To her coworkers, Jessica was not just a colleague but a true friend -- a part of the family. Her kindness, smile, and unwavering positivity brightened the hospital every day, and she formed deep, lasting relationships with those she worked with. They will forever remember her as someone who made work feel like home. She is survived by her husband, Alex Howle; her son, Weston Howle; her sister, Morgan Perkins; grandparents, Ronald and Charmaine Perkins; aunt, Rhonda (Steve) Cusaac; first-cousins, Michael (Ashlyn) and Patrick Cusaac; great-uncles, James and Melvin Perkins; great-aunt, Pam Brown; mother and father-in-law, Kathy and Lonnie Howle; brother and sisters-in-law, Cody, Amber, and Olivia Howle; niece and nephew, Brooklyn and Zeke Howle; special family members, Vera "Shorty" Yow, Peggy Wilson, Celeste (Joe) Odom; and a host of other family members, friends, and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her mother, Staci Perkins Johnson; husband, Josh Howle; great-grandmothers, Jean "Sugar" Brown and Ruby Mae Perkins; great-grandfather, Homer Brown; and her great-uncles, Henry "Bug" and William Perkins. Serving as pallbearers will be Mikey Cusaac, Patrick Cusaac, P.J. Gainey, Frankie Munn, Garrett Tomberlin, Jeb Perkins, and Tommy Barnes.
