Mr. James Nick Hall

James Nick Hall, 85 of Hartsville, South Carolina, passed peacefully into his eternal home on March 5, 2026. Nick was the son of the late Joe and Valorie Andrews Hall. He was married to his beloved wife, of 45 years, Wanda Jones Hall. They lovingly greeted each other every morning with, "This is the day the Lord has made." Nick graduated from Hartsville High School in 1959. He was an outstanding Red Fox Football player. He attended Coker College, Gardner Webb, and served his country in the South Carolina Air National Guard. He retired from Carolina Power & Light Company in Florence, South Carolina, and worked with the National Science Foundation, traveling and wintering over in Antarctica on employment. Nick lived a simple and private life with Godly values. He had a deep appreciation for Archeology, being a dedicated collector and preserver of historic properties. Surviving is his loving daughter, Toni Murray (Franklin) of Hartsville, SC; grandson, Andrew Donnie Morrison (Maggie) of Hartsville, SC; granddaughter, Ashley Cherie Morrison (Corey Herring) of Hartsville, SC; brother, Ernie "Melvin" Hall (the late Carolyn Johnson Hall) of Lexington, South Carolina; sisters, Anita Hall (Bobby) of Darlington, South Carolina, Freida Hall Collins (Danny) of Hartsville, South Carolina. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Sue Griggs Jones (the late Jerry Jones) of Hartsville, South Carolina; Jerlon Jones Stokes of Charlotte, North Carolina; and the mother of his children, Gay Martin Rose of Hartsville, South Carolina. Nick was preceded in death by his Seventeen-year-old son in 1981, Andrew Martin Hall, and his oldest brother, Joseph Jack Hall (The late Carolyn Moore Hall) of Charlotte, North Carolina.
