It is with deep sorrow that Dakota and Kaleigh Munn announce the death of their beloved father, Mr. Charles "Chuck" M. Munn, 61. Mr. Munn entered into rest after a brief illness on Thursday, February 8, 2024. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 5 o'clock on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Greater Heights Baptist Church, with the Rev. Danny Holley officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel and at other times at the home of his son, Cody Munn, 315 Patrick Hwy., Hartsville, SC. Weather permitting, and to honor Chuck's love of riding motorcycles, you are all welcome to ride your bike to the visitation and funeral service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to Greater Heights Baptist Church, 3304 W. Bobo Newsom Highway, Hartsville, SC. 29550. Born in Timmonsville, SC, he was the son of Willard and Roxie Munn and a beloved father to Dakota "Cody" Munn. Chuck was a selfless man who was always lending a helping hand and always placed others above himself. He was a member of the Hartsville Masonic Lodge #173 and the Lake Robinson Rescue Squad. He retired after a long career at Talley Metals. Chuck enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, listening to music, and being outdoors, and he loved to help others, but mostly, Chuck enjoyed spending time with his son, whom he was most proud of, and he eagerly looked forward to his grandchild's arrival in August of 2024. Mr. Munn is survived by his son, Dakota (Kaleigh) Munn of Hartsville, SC; a grandson expected August 2024; parents, Willard (Roxie) Munn of Hartsville, SC; sister, Margie Munn of Hartsville, SC; brothers, Ted Munn of Jacksonville, FL, and Paul Munn of Columbia, SC; sister, Mary (Tom) Smith of Hartsville, SC; nephew, Cliff Fedorchuk of Hartsville, SC; niece, Zoe (Tanner) Adams of Hartsville, SC; nephew, Dylan Munn of Jacksonville, FL; niece, Amanda Robbins of Columbia, SC; nephews, Joshua (Abigail) Smith of Florence, SC and Tucker Smith of Hartsville, SC; and two life-long best friends, Johnny Campbell of Hartsville, SC and Alec Yarbrough of Hartsville, SC. The family would like to offer a sincere thank you for the outstanding care and compassion of Drs. Elder, Harless, and Hazelwood.
