Mrs. Barbara Lynn Teal Auman

It is with deep sorrow that Mr. Donnie Ray Auman, Sr. and his family announce the death of his beloved wife, Mrs. Barbara Lynn Teal Auman, 70. Mrs. Auman entered into rest on Thursday, July 30, 2026. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. A private family graveside funeral service to honor her life will be held in Welsh Neck Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at Welsh Neck Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Society Hill Presbyterian Church Manna from Heaven, 308 Pressley Avenue, Society Hill, SC 29593, or The Sunshine Shoppe, 122 Main Street, Chesterfield, SC 29709. Mrs. Auman was born on Tuesday, December 20, 1955, in Hartsville, SC. She is the daughter of Archie A. Teal and Agnes Tolson Teal. She was a woman with an unwavering determination to succeed and a tireless work ethic. She believed in staying busy and devoted herself wholeheartedly to everything she did. For more than 20 years, she owned and operated a successful cleaning business, serving her clients with dedication and integrity. She had a generous heart and found great joy in caring for others. She loved feeding people and opening her home to family and friends for gatherings. Thanksgiving and Christmas were her favorite holidays because they gave her the opportunity to bring loved ones together. She especially delighted in spoiling her three granddaughters at Christmastime and found immense happiness in watching others receive thoughtful gifts. Barbara also had a passion for gardening and took great pride in working in her yard. She had a special gift for nurturing flowers and plants, finding great satisfaction in watching them flourish under her loving care. Lovingly known as “Mae Mae” to her three granddaughters, she was deeply devoted to her family and friends. Her strength, kindness, and unconditional love touched countless lives, and the memories she created will be treasured forever. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Barbara’s life was a beautiful example of perseverance, generosity, and selfless love. Her legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her loving husband, Donnie Ray Auman, Sr.; daughter, Donna Auman Johnson (Steve); son, Donnie Ray Auman, Jr.; grandchildren, Katie Hucks (Shane), Kassie Johnson, Carmen Auman. sisters, Gail T. Parker (Gerald), Virginia T. Frye, and Cathy T. Davis (Kevin). In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Evelyn T. Gregory and Deloris T. Milsap; brothers, Franklin Teal and Darryl Wayne Teal.
