It is with deep sorrow that the Lewis family announces the death of Ms. Vivian Elaine Dixon Lewis, 69. Ms. Lewis, the widow of Jerry W. "John" Lewis, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022. A graveside funeral to celebrate her life will be held at 11 o'clock on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, in Brown Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, with The Rev. Jeff Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. Ms. Lewis was born on January 4, 1953, in Hartsville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Coyt James Dixon and Inez Wallace Dixon. She spent most of her life in the Hartsville, SC, and Patrick, SC areas. She loved spending time with her daughter and grandchildren. Ms. Lewis was a special person, who loved everyone. She enjoyed going to play bingo with her daughter, Sandie. If you knew Ms. Lewis, you knew she always had to have her Coca-Cola. In her downtime, she loved watching game shows. She will be missed by many. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandie Lewis; brother, Allen (Brenda) Dixon; grandchildren, Breana O'Neal, Alexis Hartsfield, Aubrey O'Neal; great-grandchildren, Kenny Dearing, Winter Dearing, Riley Dearing, Braxton Hartsfield, and Jasper Witherspoon. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Dixon; sister, Teresa Dixon Winburn.
