Mr. Thomas Edison Ham

It is with deep sorrow that the Ham family announces the death of Mr. Thomas Edison Ham, 73. Mr. Ham entered into rest on Thursday, January 20, 2022. A graveside funeral service to honor his life will be held at 11 o'clock on Monday, January 24, 2022, in Mt. Elon Baptist Church Cemetery, with The Rev. Billy Jordan and the Rev. Rob Brazell officiating. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall immediately following the service. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. Tommy was born on November 17, 1948, to the late Palmer E. Ham and Nellie Howell Ham of Lamar, SC. He served in the United States Air Force for four years as a Jet Engine Mechanic and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War in 1969. After retiring from the Air Force, Tommy made a life-long career as an insulator throughout South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina. Upon retiring from this career, he enjoyed spending as much time as he could on the water fishing. Tommy is survived by his daughters, Penny (Jeff) McDaniel of Elgin, SC and Tonya (David) Green of Blythewood, SC; grandsons, Hunter McDaniel, and Tyler Etheridge. He is also survived by a long-time friend, Mary Ellen Tiller of Lamar, SC; uncle, Fred V. "Teggie" Ham; aunt, Emily Jean Andrews; numerous cousins and Friends.
