Mrs. Sarah Howle Dixon

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Howle Dixon, 78, will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, February 2nd, 2022, in the Harris Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. George Howle and The Rev. Hunter Harmon will officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and other times at the home of Hattie and Don Atkinson, 1106 Lakeview Blvd. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home and Crematory are caring for the family. Mrs. Dixon entered into rest on Monday, January 31, 2022. Born in Chesterfield County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Mary Elizabeth Teal Howle. She was a member of Harris Creek Baptist Church. She retired from Dixie Cup after 26 years of service, a job which she thoroughly enjoyed. Sarah Jean enjoyed completing "search-a-word" puzzles and loved her family dearly. She was a proud breast cancer survivor of 16 years. Surviving are her husband of 17 years, John H. Dixon of Hartsville, SC; daughters, Cheryl Boseman White (Bobby) of Selma, NC, Donna Boseman Bradley (Derrick) of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Kyle Parnell (Logan), Andy Parnell (Amber), Jordan Rogers Thomas (Taylor), Danielle Ware (Steven), Brittany Kruse; sisters, Gail Boyd, Hattie Atkinson (Don); brothers, Tom Howle, Eli Howle, Sr.; stepdaughters, Phyllis Hicks (Chris), Louise Norton, Johnnie Sue Byrd (Lane); 8 great-grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Elaine Tyner; brothers, Willie Howle, James Earl Howle, Charlie Howle, Jimmy "Crow" Howle.
