Mrs. Olivia "Lib" B. Humphries

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Olivia "Lib" B. Humphries, 96, who died peacefully on Friday, June 12, 2020, will be held at 11 o'clock, Monday, June 15, 2020, at Magnolia Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Gregory B. Boyd will officiate and Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is caring for the family. Born in Hartsville, SC, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Brand and Frankie Kelly Brand. Lib grew up in Hartsville and lived there her entire life. It was her home and she loved it. She graduated from Hartsville High School and married Marion Humphries until he passed away in 1983. Lib was a faithful member of Hartsville First Baptist Church. She loved her years teaching Sunday School to young girls. She worked in the mailroom at Sonoco Products and retired at the age of 62. She is survived by her only child, Bert and his wife Libby; Her two granddaughters and their husbands, Amanda and Kyle Parrish, and Jess and Noah Fouts; eight great-grandchildren. Lib loved and was always close to her nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.
