Ms. Melissa Ann Tyner

A Celebration of life for Melissa Ann Tyner, 48, will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. Ms. Tyner entered into rest on Thursday, March 31, 2022. Born in Hartsville, SC, she was a daughter of William Curtis Tyner and Faye Stephens. "To know our mom was to know the true meaning of love. She was strong, beautiful and capable of anything. She taught us to be strong even in the toughest storms and to always protect and love each other with every breath we took , exactly as she did for us. If you knew her you most likely knew her as mom, or sis-in-law . Everyone she met was automatically family. Knowing her was a blessing in its own. There’s not a day that goes by that she won’t be missed or loved. We know our mom is still here with us, watching over us, loving us and guiding us." In addition to her parents she is survived by her spouse, John Alvin Gainey; children, Ashley Bullard (Josh Gainey), Bradley Gainey (Melinda), Kalley Gainey (Jonathan), Michael Crowley; grandchildren, Colten Gainey, Braylee Gainey, Kamil Gainey, Paisley Cook; brother, Larry Tyner; sisters, Wanda Crowley, Vicky Tyner.
