A memorial service for Mrs. Linda Marie Lahti Blackwell, 80, will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November, 7 2020 at Elim United Methodist Church. The Rev. Edward Herlong will officiate and Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Directors are caring for the family. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and other times at the home of Jonna Carter, 1729 E. Home Ave. Hartsville, SC. Those attending the service will be required to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines established by the United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to the Darlington County Humane Society, PO Box 1655 Hartsville, SC 29551 or to the DeEtte Oates Circle of Elim UMC, payable to Mrs. Cheryl Blackmon, 1528 E. Sevens Pines Rd. Darlington, SC 29532. Mrs. Blackwell entered into rest on Thursday, November 5, 2020. Born in Norway, ME, she was a daughter of the late Arne and Agnes Bancroft Lahti. She was a sweet, caring, thoughtful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed making dish cloths for her family and loved country, bluegrass, and gospel music. She will be missed by all. Surviving are her sons, David (Laura) Blackwell of Hartsville, SC and Jeffrey (Teresa) Blackwell of Darlington, SC; daughters, Terri (Johnny) Gainey of Hartsville, SC, Jonna Carter of Hartsville, SC, June Mariner of Portsmith, NH; sisters, Janet Elaine Truman of Norway, ME, Patricia Hill of Norway, ME; grandchildren, Ron Reid, Samantha Polson, Stephanie Sawyer, Heather Evans, Kattie Anderson, Keslie Blackwell, Taylor Blackwell, Sydney Carter, Logan Blackwell, Brandie Blackwell, Sarah Reagan Carter; great-grandchildren, Mason Reid, Cohen Reid, John Greyson Reid, Raelynn Reed, Riley Anderson, Jason Morgan, Jasper Sawyer, She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Blackwell.
