“This is the day the Lord hath made, rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalms 118:24) A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lawrence Ronald Holland, 81, who entered into eternal rest, surrounded by his loving family, on Monday, October 11, 2021. The service will be held at 11 o'clock on Friday, October 15, 2021, at West Hartsville Baptist Church. The Rev. Kevin Walters will officiate, and the family will receive friends immediately following the service. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Directors are caring for the family. Mr. Holland was a charter member of West Hartsville Baptist Church which he loved and faithfully attended. He retired from Sonoco Products Company after many years of service and had a full life doing the things he enjoyed with his family and friends. The Holland family respectfully requests that their friends and family observe Covid-19 Protocols within the church and that masks be worn for the safety of all guests. Memorials may be made in his honor to West Hartsville Baptist Church, 1003 West Carolina Avenue, Hartsville, SC 29550. Mr. Holland was born in Hartsville, SC, a son of the late Lawrence Edward Holland and Frances Segars Holland. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lewis Holland of Hartsville, SC; son, Lawrence (Ginger) Holland of Hartsville, SC; daughter, Rhonda (Rex) Holland Brugh of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Lewis Stone Holland, Heath Jennings (Morgan) Brugh, Laura (Brandon)Brugh Coker, Michael Rex Brugh; great-grandchildren, Lillian Coker, Ellison Coker, James Coker; brother-in-law, Bill Chaplin; sisters-in-law, Lois Holland Walsh, Janice Holland, and Jessie Lewis and her son, T. J. (Jess) Lewis, III; nieces, Sarah Roberts, Anne Braddock, Catherine Hanson, Nancy Srock, Melissa Cash, Elizabeth Koloda; nephews, Chuck Holland, Timmy Holland, Brian Holland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Holland, Johnny Holland, Thomas Holland; sister, Helen Holland Chaplin; brother-in-law, Tommy Lewis Jr.; nephew, David Holland.
