Funeral services for Ms. Karen Rene Felkel, 39, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 22, 2021, in the Chapel of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home officiated by Steve Winburn and Pastor Ricky Tolson. Burial will follow in the Felkel Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Those attending should wear a mask and practice social distancing. Karen entered into rest on Saturday, January 16, 2021. Born in Hartsville, SC, she was a daughter of Rodney and Cathy Rivers Felkel. She was a kind-hearted soul that was always smiling. She was a peacemaker and always tried to help others. She was known by the children that her mother kept as Queen Karen. Surviving are her parents, Rodney and Cathy Felkel; daughter, Kayleigh Felkel Stokes; sisters, Sharon Felkel (Johnny Haire) and Amy Felkel (Skeet Wallace); nephews, Tyler Stokes, Tanner Stokes, and Aiden Haire; fiancé, Judd Bowcutt. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bobby Felkel, Sudie Felkel, William Rivers, & Theresa Rivers.
