******UPDATED FUNERAL TIMES******* Funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie Sue Howle, 77, will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, January 21, 2022, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church. The Rev. George Howle will officiate with a private family burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. Mrs. Howle entered into rest on Saturday, January 15, 2022. Born in Troy Alabama, she was the daughter of the late James I. and Gladys Gibson Powell. She was married to her first husband, Fransisco Valle, in 1960 and there were three children born to this union. Mr. Valle was killed in Vietnam while serving his country. She then married Thomas Harold Howle and they combined their respective families. Mr. Howle also served in the armed forces for twenty-four years, including service in Vietnam. A child was also born to this marriage. The couple moved several times due to the military to Georgia, Virginia, and Kentucky then retired back to South Carolina. Jimmie Sue opened Sue's Daycare and was the owner/operator for 11 years. She was a member of Lamar First Baptist Church where she served in many capacities including Sunday School Teacher of the four and five-year-olds. She retired from the daycare and the couple begin splitting their time between South Carolina and Florida and both began working for Disney World for over nine years until her health declined. Sue will be remembered as one that loved Clemson football games, watching golf, collecting bears, ducks, and anything Disney. She especially loved all of her children and family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Thomas Harold Howle Jr. of Lamar, SC; sons, Frankie (Belinda) Valle of Hartsville, SC, Chip (Sherry) Howle of Raytown, MO; daughters, Susan (David) Kelly of Jacksonville, FL, Sandra (Joel) Windham of Lamar, SC, Amy (Troy) Engh of Lamar, SC; brothers, James (Renee) Powell, II of Colorado Springs, CO, Billy (Terri) Powell of Columbus, GA; sisters, Pat (Jim) Kingsbury Miller of Columbus, GA, Mary (Jack) Frost of Seale AL; grandchildren, Little Mark (Jackie) Robinson, Matt (Michelle) Robinson, Brad (Meaghan) Windham, Jonathan Robinson, Ryan (Tori) Windham, Jared Valle, Ashley (Micah) Carr, Rachel (Dustin) Menner, Allie Windham, Luke Valle, Brianna (Matthew) Amerson, Zack Howle, Tyler Melton, Connor Engh; 17 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Fransisco L. Valle; sister, Liz Carter.
