A funeral service for Mr. Jerry Lynn Byrd, Jr., 53, will be held at 1 o'clock on Monday, October 11, 2021, in The Chapel of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The Rev. Stephen Braswell will officiate with burial to follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Directors are caring for the family. Mr. Byrd entered into rest on Wednesday, October 6, 2021. Born in Chesterfield, SC, he was a son of Sylvia Dixon Byrd and the late Jerry Lynn Byrd, Sr. Lynn served his country in the United States Army National Guard and was a member of Destiny Bible Church of Lancaster, SC. He is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Hicks Byrd of Hartsville, SC; stepson, Chad Winburn of Columbia, SC; stepdaughter, Bridget Winburn of Hartsville, SC; mother, Sylvia Dixon Byrd of Hartsville, SC; brother, Gary (Shirley) Byrd of Hartsville, SC; niece, Hannah Byrd (Brandon) Poston of Hartsville, SC; nephew, Lee Hicks of Hartsville, SC. He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lynn Byrd, Sr.
