Mr. James Herbert Hyatt

Funeral services for Mr. James Herbert Hyatt, 86, who entered into rest on Monday, November 2, 2020, will be held at 11 o’clock on Thursday, November 5, 2020, in Lucknow Baptist Church. The Rev. Keith Allison will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall following the service. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Directors are caring for the family. Memorials may be made in his honor to Lucknow Baptist Church, 899 Hubb Kelly Road, Bishopville, SC 2010, or Amedysis Hospice, 500 Pamplico Hwy - Suite D, Florence, SC 29505. Mr. Hyatt was born in Lucknow, Lee County, SC, a son of the late Lorie E. Hyatt and Jennie Hall Pate Hyatt. James finished Bishopville High school in 1951. He was retired from Coker's Pedigreed Seed Company with 30 years of service. He also was the Owner and Operator of J & L Printing Service in Hartsville, SC, for 12 years. He was a loving husband and a great father. He was a member of and enjoyed attending Lucknow Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Lucknow Masonic Lodge. Surviving are his wife of 65 years, Louise Grooms Hyatt, of Lucknow, SC; daughters, Angela H. Skinner and (Jack) of Winston-Salem, NC, Gina H. Sansbury and (Lee) of Hartsville, SC; granddaughter, Nicole Eskridge (Patrick); grandsons, Jason H. Skinner (Bobbie) and William Lee Sansbury; great-granddaughters, Savannah, Ava, and Maddy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Sally Winn Pate Windham, Elmarie Pate Berry, Ora Dell Pat Hall, Edna Bell Pate Hall; brother, John E. Pate.
