It is with deep sorrow that the Barfield family announces the death of their beloved daughter, Erica Marie Barfield Rowe, 36. Mrs. Rowe entered into rest on Saturday, June 11, 2022. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. The family will lead a celebration of her life at 6 o'clock in the evening of Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Bethel United Methodist Church, 2423 Bethel Road, Hartsville, SC, with The Rev. Daniel McKay "Sonny" Hall officiating. A visitation will be held from 4:00 until 6:00 pm prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to Bethel United Methodist Church, 2423 Bethel Road, Hartsville, SC 29550. Erica was born on March 13, 1986, the daughter of Marion Clarence Barfield and Pamela Jean Nevling Barfield. She was the owner of Erica's Pet Sitting Services and had a love for all animals, but her first love was her son, Bryan. In her former years, she enjoyed competitive Barrel Racing and enjoyed training horses -- She lived to ride. She is survived by her loving son, Bryan T. Barfield of Hartsville, SC; mother and father, Marion C. and Pam J. Barfield of Hartsville, SC; maternal grandparents, Mike G. (Lavinia) Ahrens of Hartsville, SC; great-uncle, Richard Barfield of South Carolina, Thomas (Mary) Barfield of North Carolina, Joseph (Julia)Nevling of South Carolina, Kenneth Nevling of South Carolina; aunts, Penny Harllee of South Carolina, Michelle Ahrens of South Carolina; cousins, Hunter Harllee Kamran Young, Kaycee Nevling, Michael Burdick, Taylor Harllee, Nicky Morris, and Josh Nevling. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Virginia Barfield.
