Mrs. Elaine W. Farmer

Private funeral services for Mrs. Elaine Wilson Farmer, 59, who entered into rest on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, will be held at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Stephen Sanderson will officiate with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Directors are caring for the family. Memorials may be made to the Calvary Community Fund, 539 Cedar Creek Road, Bishopville, SC 29010. "Johnny Boy" Wilson and Joy Arrants Wilson. Elaine was a loving and caring Christian mother, wife, sister, and friend. She was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday School to the children for over 35 years. She was also the leader of the youth programs, leading children's church on most Sundays for more than 25 years, and planning Summer fun days for the kids to swim, play games, and learn about Jesus. Elaine loved all people, old-timey gospel singing, preaching, family, animals, and, most of all, God. Elaine worked at Lee County D.S.S. for over 30 years before retiring. While working there, she was able to help so many people throughout our community. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Joy Wilson, and her niece, Rebecca Brown. We know she is celebrating her heavenly reunion with them. Elaine has touched the lives of so many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband, Donald Farmer of Bishopville, SC; daughters, Jennifer Wald, and Nicole (Alex) Rabon; brother, Randy (Nancy) Wilson; stepbrother, Kenneth (Carolyn) McElveen; sister, Cynthia (Gene) Holloman; stepsister, Linda (Al) Bair; grandchildren, Jayden Wald, Madison Rabon, and Eli Rabon.
