Mrs. Diane Blackwell Price

It is with deep sorrow that Mr. John L. "Dick" Price announces the death of his beloved wife of 52 years, Diane Blackwell Price, 71, of McBee, SC. Mrs. Price passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 12, 2021. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 2 o'clock on Thursday, December 16, 2021, in Pine Ridge Holiness Church. The Rev. Phillip Jones and The Rev. Marvin Griggs will officiate with burial to follow in McBee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 15, at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. Born in Darlington County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charlie M. Blackwell and the late Evelyn McKenzie Blackwell. Diane was one of a kind. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and found great joy in being everyone's, "Grandma." She enjoyed vacationing at the beach with her family, working on puzzles for hours, and working in the yard -- but mostly riding her lawnmower. She will be missed immensely. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years of marriage, John L. "Dick" Price of McBee, SC; daughters, Michelle Price of McBee, Sandra Price of West Palm Beach, FL, Pam Gooden of Hartsville, SC; brother, Heyward Lee (Wanda) Blackwell of McBee, SC; sister, Tammy (Bill) McMillan of McBee, SC; grandchildren, Austin Price, Dalton Price, Gage Gooden, Gavin Gooden; great-grandchild, Olivia Price. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul Blackwell, and Roy Blackwell.
