    Rev. Bobby Randolph Wallace

    November 13, 1934 - December 1, 2021

    Reverend Bobby R. Wallace, age 87, entered His Savior’s arms on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. He was born in Lancaster, SC, the eldest son of the late Otis Eugene Wallace and Lula Plyler Wallace, and was the husband of Melvie McManus Wallace. Reverend Wallace pastored many churches across North Carolina and South Carolina before retiring from Cedar Creek Baptist Church, Bishopville in 2019. He was the pastor at Cedar Creek for 40 years. He faithfully served Jesus, his Savior, and Lord. Reverend Wallace is survived by his wife of 17 years, Melvie McManus Wallace; 2 sons, Gene (Barbara) and George (Genie); four grandchildren, Clint Wallace (Keri), Chris Wallace (Brittany), Kayla Puck (Tyler), and Rebekah Wallace; three great-grandchildren, CJ Wallace, Colin Wallace, and Haidyn Wallace; a brother, Jack Wallace (Ida) and a sister Doris McManus (RayVon). The extended family includes Dale Poole, Daniel Flowers, Kim Flowers, Travis Flowers, Catherine Sowell Wallace, and Kim Bowers. Rev. Wallace was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Barbara Robinson Wallace; a grandson, Randy Wallace; two brothers, Horace Wallace, and Cecil Wallace; two sisters, Sudie Smith and Betty Poole. The Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Cedar Creek Baptist Church, with The Rev. Bobby James officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Fellowship Hall from 1:30 until 2:45 pm, prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Baptist Church, 2980 Bishopville Highway, Bishopville, SC 29010. The family would like to express thanks to the staff at McCoy Memorial Nursing Center for their compassionate care.
