Mrs. Betty Ann Smith Fraser

Graveside services for Mrs. Betty Ann Smith Fraser, 90, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 19, 2021, in Piedmont Cemetery. The Rev. Todd Latham and The Rev. Bill Langford will officiate. Hancock-Elmore-Hill Funeral Directors are caring for the family. Mrs. Fraser entered into rest on Friday, January 15, 2021. Born in Lee County, SC, she was the daughter of the late Guy Preston Smith and the late Richardine Skinner Smith. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bishopville, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Mrs. Fraser loved visits with brother and her cousin, Charles Skinner (Lila) and she enjoyed her visits with her nearby neighbors on Roundup Drive. Although she was on a fixed income she donated to her church and to several charities. She was the hub of the family. Her home was the meeting place of the extended Fraser family and she loved and enjoyed each visit. She went out of her way to ensure that all the favorite dishes were prepared and that all ate more than they needed. Her famous meal time line in the family was "better have some, it's good!". Throughout her life she always placed the needs of family members, friends and church above those of her own. She studied the bible daily and lived by it's words. She was an angel in waiting and she has now gone on to serve the Lord. She was an outgoing, happy person that enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed. Surviving are her son, William Birtran Fraser, Jr. (Norma) of Hope Mills, NC; daughter, Janet F. Driggers (Guerry) of Bishopville, SC; brother, Guy Clifford Smith of Bishopville, SC; daughter-in-law, Rose B Fraser of Greensboro, NC; grandchildren, William Birtran Fraser, III, Bryan James Fraser, William N. Boyce, III (Cher), Clinton F. Boyce (Ashley), Shiles "Rusty" Fraser, Allison Leigh Fraser; great-grandchildren, Josiah William Fraser, Kru Boyce, Jaxyn Boyce, Caroline Inman (Christian), Solomon Fraser, Riley Duggins; great- great-granddaughter, Sophia Inman. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Birtran Fraser, Sr. and her son, Shiles P. "Chip" Fraser.
