Private graveside services for Mr. Albert Marion Holley, Jr., 75, will be held in Magnolia Cemetery. The Rev. Ken Hughes will officiate. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is caring for the family. Memorials may be made to Lakeview Baptist Church, 202 Lakeview Blvd. Hartsville, SC 29550. Mr. Holley entered into rest on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Marion was born in Hartsville, S.C. on October 22, 1944 to the late Albert M. Holley, Sr. and the late Dorothy Elizabeth Usher Holley. He was a graduate of Hartsville High School and Florence Darlington Technical College. On July 8, 1965 he married Connie Tiller his high school sweetheart. He was employed at Rexnord of Darlington before moving to Sonoco Products Company in the Carpenter Shop in October 1975. He retired from Sonoco on May 31, 2003 with 27 years of service. Marion was the owner and operator of the Econo Grill and Car Wash for over 42 years. He was a problem solver who often took on big projects at the car wash and around the house. He was a skilled carpenter with one of his proudest accomplishments was building the family home. He enjoyed farming and raised cow, buffalo, and chicken/roosters. He loved teaching his children, family, and friends how to be self-sufficient and how to do things for themselves. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Michael Harless, Dr. Orville Dyce, Dr. Brooks Banister, and the staff of McLeod Hospice for their loving care. Surviving are wife, Connie Tiller Holley of Hartsville, SC; daughter, Buffy (Warren) Clements of Hartsville, SC; Albert M. (Audrey) Holley, III of Murrells Inlet, SC, Bud (Stacy) Holley of Florence, SC; sister, Joyce Geddings of Paxville, SC; grandchildren, Deven Holley, Jasmyne Bean (David Karshner), Caitlyn (Colby) Rooker, Madison Holley, Jayce Deom, Brynna Holley, Will Clements, Nicholas Clements; great-grandchildren, Liam Rooker, Oliver Karshner; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Yow.
