It is with deep sorrow that Mrs. Roxie Elliott Munn and her family announce the death of her beloved husband, Mr. Willard Theodore Munn, Sr., 85. Mr. Munn entered into rest on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 1 o'clock on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in The Chapel of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home, with The Rev. Cliff Leonard officiating. The United States Navy will render Military Honors. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Box 1655, Hartsville, SC 29551, or online at www.darlingtonhumane.org/donate/ Mr. Munn was born on Monday, October 30, 1939, in Florence County, SC. He is the son of the late Wallace Munn and the late Maggie Belle Register Munn. After completing school at St. Johns High School in Darlington, SC, he joined the Navy and served on the U.S.S. Mount McKinley, where he did tours in the Mediterranean. After his four years of service in the Navy he returned to Darlington and began a long career working for the Sonoco Products Company in Hartsville. He worked for the company from 1962 until he retired in 2000. During his retirement years, he enjoyed gardening, camping & his grandchildren. He also loved to watch NASCAR and other professional sports, and he loved to tinker with his garden machines like lawnmowers & tillers. He was also a member of his son's church in Jacksonville, FL, Avondale United Methodist Church, which he regularly attended remotely via the Internet. He is survived by his loving wife, Roxie Elizabeth Elliott Munn; sons, Willard Theodore "Ted" Munn, Jr. and Paul Wallace Munn; daughters, Anna Margaret "Margie" Munn Broach and Mary Elizabeth Munn Smith; brother, Franklin Wallace Munn; grandchildren, Amanda Broach Robbins, Dakota Warren Munn, Joshua Thomas Smith, Tucker Maxwell Smith, Jordyn Elizabeth Parnell, Michael Dylan Munn, and Marley Nicole "Rowan" Robbins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles Myrlin Munn; brothers, Neil Benjamin Munn, Ray Martin Munn, Doad Kistler Minn, Marion Ludy Munn, Ralph Ellis Munn, James Coker Munn, Carl Mitchum Munn, Millard Lide Munn; sisters, Mildred Munn Blackwell, Fannie Belle Munn Sports, and Margaret Lindler Munn.
