Mrs Sara Frances Heustess

Funeral services for Sara Frances Howle Heustess, 73, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 26, 2013 at Mt. Olivet Baptist Church. The Rev. Tommy Gaskin and The Rev. Jackie Hinson will officiate with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 181 E Evans St, Florence, SC 29506, or to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for the Cure, 5005 LBJ Freeway, Suite 250, Dallas, TX 75244. Mrs. Sara Frances went to be with her Lord and Savior in the early morning hours on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She peacefully passed away while she slept in the loving arms of her husband of 56 years. Sara Frances was known for many things, from cooking her famous biscuits, to the brilliant color that are always blooming in her garden, to her limitless love and loyalty for her family and friends. Her greatest accomplishment; however, was her love for her family and devotion for God which shown through in everything she did. She lived every day of her life for the happiness of others. Whether it was for her husband, one of their three children, or six grandchildren; for family, for a friend, or many times even a complete stranger, she would always put their needs and wants before her own. Heaven gained an amazing spirit Tuesday morning and we lost a wonderful caregiver and our matriarch. God has always been the foundation of her family but Sara Frances was always the one that kept his foundation solid. She will always be missed. Born in Darlington County, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Boyd and Mamie Winburn Howle. Surviving are her husband, Jimmie Edward Heustess of Darlington, SC; son, Jimmy Boyd Heustess of Darlington, SC; daughters, Rhonda (Susie) Griggs Jones of Darlington, SC, Sylvia Joanne Farmer of Hartsville, SC; brothers, William Curtis Howle of Hartsville, SC, Jimmy David Howle of Hartsville, SC, Heyward Thomas Howle of Society Hill, SC, John Darrell Howle of Byrdtown, SC; sister, Mary Louise Byrd of Society Hill, SC; grandchildren, Shannon Leigh Maddox, Michael Shane Jones, Coleman Matthew Heustess, Courtney Elizabeth Heustess, Sydney Jordan Farmer, and Zachory Ryan Farmer.
