It is with deep sorrow that the Jones family announces the death of Mrs. Rose Denise Jones, 63. Mrs. Jones entered into rest on Friday, January 27, 2023, after a short illness. She was surrounded by her loving family. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to organizations close to her, which the family will announce in the coming days. Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Mary-Delle Bradshaw Thompson of Hartsville, SC, and William N. Kellar of Indianapolis, Indiana. She devoted her time to be the best mother, sister, friend, partner, and homemaker. Throughout her life, she gave much love and consideration to everyone she met. She was always afraid to be a bother and thanked everyone for their kindness. Her heart knew no boundaries. She had a strong love of Elvis, known well by her family, as well as WWE wrestling and old western movies. She enjoyed Little House on the Prairie, The Texas Ranger, and many more shows. She loved singing along to Cinderella (the 1965 version especially), specifically the song "Impossible? It's possible." Even her son sang along with her, simply to share in her smiles. On the flip side of that, young adults screaming to death metal hold no candle to her enthusiasm to her wrestling matches. Her neighbors could hear her scream, "Aaaha! Get him!! Get him! Take him down! Get him!" all while smiling, laughing, and jumping around. In the final years of her life, she focused on her family, which spread far and wide, carefully arranging her funds to share her love with her family every year. What she received back, she displayed very proudly in her home and in her heart. Her world may have become small later on, but her heart only grew bigger. She was loved by all. She will be deeply missed and celebrated just as strongly. Farewell, we will see you again. Sincerely, all the souls you have touched along your journey. Surviving are her daughter, Trina Michelle Jones (Walter) Cummings of Hixson, TN; son, John Payne (Allissondra) Jones of California; grandsons, Walter "CJ" Dewayne (Bryanna) Cummings Jr. of Chattanooga, TN, and Noah Michael Cummings of Chattanooga, TN.; great-grandson, Arrow of Chattanooga; two sisters, Letitia M. Kellar of Hartsville and Michelle McMann of Fort Meyers, FL; brother, Patrick Kendall of Greenwood, IN; niece, Julia-Delle Nicole Mangum of Hartsville, SC; nephew, James Adam Mills of Columbia, SC; niece-in-law, Mary Zimmer of Hartsville, SC.
