It is with our deepest sorrow that James Darron Huntley and his family announce the death of his beloved wife, Marilyn Elaine Farmer Huntley, 64. Marilyn was born August 19, 1958, in Bishopville, South Carolina, and was the daughter of Ervin T. Farmer and Marie Jackson. Marilyn grew up on her family farm with her brothers and sisters, Olene, Annie, Gerald, Paul, and Ferris, and loved to fly kites with Nancy Brown. Marilyn and Darron meet through a mutual friend and married on April 3, 1977. Darron and Marilyn loved to ride motorcycles, and travel to the mountains, the beach, and anywhere Darron was delivering cars. In 1979 Darron and Marilyn gave birth to their first child, daughter Misty, and in 1981 gave birth to their second child, son Jamie. Misty and Jamie’s fondest memories with their parents were going tenting in the mountains, the beach, going to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and Maggie Valley to Ghost Town, and riding the Red Devil Rollercoaster. In March of 1996, Marilyn became a member of Mizpah Baptist Church and accepted the lord in her heart. In 1997, Marilyn welcomed her first grandchild Austin, who held a special place in her heart. Marilyn loved her grandchildren. Marilyn loved to take Bryce to Marble Slab to eat ice cream and watch some of his ball games. She loved to go cheer for McKenzie at her softball games and watch her first granddaughter walk down the aisle. Marilyn loved to sit on the porch with Darron and watch Breanna, Ella Grace, and Millie run around and fuss at them while they tried to play in her fish pond. Marilyn was so proud and excited when she was going to be a great-grandmother. She loved having an in-house girls’ spa day with Courtney and great-granddaughter Ryleigh. When the last two pieces of her heart were born, Marilyn could not wait to love on and hold her grandson, Huxley, and great-grandson, Ayden. Marilyn is survived by her loving and adoring husband, James Darron Huntley, of 46 wonderful years, Misty Watts (Brian Bradt) and Jamie Huntley (Katie Huntley); Her nine grandchildren, Austin (Courtney) Huntley, Bryce Watts (girlfriend Mckinley Henderson), McKenzie Watts-McKenzie (Evin), Cooper Bradt, Myers Bradt, Breanna Huntley, Ella Grace Watts, Millie Elaine Huntley, and Brian Huxley Bradt; Two great-grandchildren, Ryleigh Huntley, and James Ayden Huntley. In addition to her parents and father-in-law, Marilyn was preceded in death by her brother, Gerald Farmer; sister, Annie Corbett. Darron Huntley and the family would like to think Amedisys for their love and wonderful support, and for taking care of Marilyn, as well as everyone who has helped with her. Serving as pallbearers will be Ricky Chewning, Alan Chewning, Craig Farmer, Timmy Brumley, Lavan Atkinson, and Bill Babb.
