Mrs. Louise Wase O'Neal

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Louise W. O'Neal, 96. Mrs. O'Neal entered into rest on Saturday, May 20, 2023. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, in the Chapel of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The Rev. Brad White will officiate with interment to follow in Magnolia Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. The service will be live streamed from the Brown-Pennington-Atkins Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BrownPenningtonAtkinsFH/). Mrs. O'Neal was born in Hartsville, SC to the late James C. and Margaret Jones Wase. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She was a graduate of Hartsville High School and retired from Nitronics Corporation. She was diligent in her work and received a perfect attendance award for not missing a day of work in 26 years. She was dedicated to raising and caring for her children. Louise enjoyed gardening and listening to gospel music. Surviving are her children, Brenda Haynes (Jimmy) of Greer, SC, Steve O'Neal (Anne) of Florence, SC, Terry King (Jimmy) of Hartsville, SC; brother, Ralph Wase of Hartsville, SC; sister, Diane Watson of Garden City, SC; grandchildren, Jason Haynes (Ashley), Kristin Cruskie (Mike), Stephanie Nedock (James), Justin Walters (Jessica); step-grandchildren, Kim Haynes, Daniel Haynes (Mary Beth), Gina Melton (Gene), Tina Fittro (Bob), Jim King (Melissa), Mark King (Emily); great-grandchildren, Ella Grace Haynes, Barrett Haynes, Kennedy Cruskie, Weston Cruskie, Blakely Nedock, Lyla Nedock, Liam Walters; 15 step-great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by her, brothers, Martin Wase, Charles Wase; sisters, Dorothy Rakestraw, Patricia Haynes. The family would like to express gratitude to caregivers, Nikki Davis and Marcia Gould for their loving care The family also is thankful to the staff of The Legacy of Hartsville and McLeod Hospice House for their care.
