It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mrs. Brenda Culpepper Jordan, 67. Mrs. Jordan, the widow of Steven Scott Jordan, Sr., entered into rest on Friday, March 7, 2025. The Directors of Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home & Crematory are caring for the family. A graveside funeral service to honor her life will be held at 3 o'clock on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Magnolia Cemetery, with The Rev. Ladell Humphries and The Rev. Dennis Outlaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the residence following the service, 2945 North Center Road, Hartsville, SC 29550. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Darlington County Humane Society, 580 E. Washington Street, Hartsville, SC 29550. Mrs. Jordan was born on Saturday, December 21, 1957, in Darlington County, SC. She is the daughter of Stuart M. Culpepper and Maxine Howard Culpepper. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved mother, Mimi, and friend. She was a woman who touched the lives of all who knew her with her unwavering kindness, dedication, and boundless love. Above all else, she was a devoted mother and mimi whose love for her children, stepchildren, and grandchildren was immeasurable. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and there was nothing she wouldn’t do to ensure their happiness. Her heart was as big as her love for her family, and she cherished every moment with them, always ready with open arms and a warm smile. A woman of deep faith, she found strength and comfort in her love for the Lord. Her kindness knew no bounds, and she would do anything for anyone, selflessly offering help, comfort, and support to all who were lucky enough to know her. For over 30 years, she was a dedicated employee of Walmart as the human resource manager. She always made sure to listen to others and took the time to uplift those around her. Her colleagues remember her as someone who could always be counted on, both in the workplace and in life. A lover of music and dancing, she had a joyful spirit that shone through in everything she did. Whether she was swaying to a favorite song or dancing with her grandchildren in the living room, her infectious laughter and love for animals will never be forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of love, joy, and kindness that will live through her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Rest in peace, Mimi. You will always be loved, always be missed, and never forgotten. She is survived by her children, D.J. Winburn (Amanda) of Hartsville, SC, Ashley Norris (Timothy) of McBee, SC; stepchildren, Steven Scott Jordan, Jr. of London, England, Audra Jordan Tabolt (Keith) of Hartsville, SC, Trevor Jordan (Cathryn) of Matthews, NC, Kaeleigh Jordan Trullinger (Jonathan) of Garner, NC, Kimberly Jordan Swett of Charleston, SC. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Madison Winburn, Bryce Winburn, Brooke Norris, and Levi Norris, Cohen Jackson, Deacon Tabolt, Elias Tabolt, Fisher Tabolt, Grace Tabolt, Price Jordan, Avery Jordan, Connor Trullinger, Gibson Trullinger, Phineas Trullinger, Leighton Trullnger, Mary Lane Trullinger, Mason Swett, Luke Swett, and Sawyer Swett; brother, Steve Culpepper (Bonnie); sister, Kathy Piazza (Joe). In addition to her parents and her late husband, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Christopher Lee Jordan; and her brothers, Ronnie Culpepper and Wayne Culpepper.
