Funeral services for Douglas McAuther “Doug” Hicks, 42, will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Buddy Amerson will officiate with burial in Green Hill Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday, March 14, 2010 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Hicks died Friday, March 12, 2010. Born in Darlington Co., SC, he was a son of Vare Lee Gainey Hicks Hancock and the late Auther “June Bug” Hicks, Jr.
Surviving are his mother of Hartsville; brothers (spouses), Chris (Phyllis) Hicks, Randy Hicks, Stevie Hicks, Stacey Hicks, Jason (Kellie) Hicks all of Hartsville; stepchildren, Michael Boatright of Hartsville, SC, Jimmie O'Neal, Jessica O'Neal.
