Obituary:
Mr. Emmitt Junior Howle, 80, passed away at his home Wednesday, March 10, 2010. He was born March 10, 1930 to the late George Colon Howle, Sr. and the late Annie Estelle Harpe Howle. He was a member of Piney Plains Free Will Baptist Church and was a retired auto body repairman. His passion was going to auctions and collecting old coins. The family would like to express their gratitude to Hospice of Chesterfield County for their loving care. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. William Griggs will officiate. The family will receive friends at his residence; 4772 Ousleydale Rd. Memorials may be made to the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, PO Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648. Surviving are his former wife, Evelyn F. Hinson of Greenwood, SC; daughter (spouse) Sue (Paul) Staten of Hartsville, SC; sons, James C. (Tressa) Howle of Greenwood, SC, Lester Howle of Cheraw, SC; granddaughters, Lisa (Chuck) Peagler of Camden, SC, Debra (Enrique) Santiago of Camden, SC, Jessica-Faith Howle of Greenwood, SC; great-granchildren, Justin Lee Peagler, Brittany Michelle Peagler, Erica Carolina Santiago, Enrique Santiago, Jr.; John Paul Santiago all of Camden, SC; brothers, George (Willene) Howle, Jr. of Lancaster, SC, Tycho (Marie) Howle of Atlanta, GA; sisters, Inez (David) Rawls of Lancaster, SC, Juanita Johnson of Westville, SC. He was preceded in death by his spouses, Mattie Lee Tyner Howle, Vivian Ross Howle; brothers, Richard Howle, Vernon Howle; sister, Elaine Vaughn.
