Graveside services for Gladys Lenora Gainey Morris, 78, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Magnolia Cemetery. The Rev. Hazel Mixon will officiate. Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home is serving the family.
Mrs. Morris died Monday, February 8, 2010. Born in Darlington Co., SC, she was a daughter of the late Luther W. and Alice Johnson Gainey. She was a member of the First Original Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are her son (spouses), James Howard Barefoot, Jr. (Cherita Johnson) of Hartsville, SC; daughters, Joyce Ann Plattner (Donald) of Memphis, TN, Linda Faye Stokes (Johnny Mack) of Hartsville, SC, Barbara Ellen Melton of Hartsville, SC, Kathy B. Wallace (James Spradley) of Hartsville, SC; sisters, Louise Steadman of Wagner, SC, Peggy Cassidy of Hartsville, SC; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
