Funeral services for Russell Wade Steen, 31, will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010 at Lakeview Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Tim McKnight, the Rev. Rob Brazell, and the Rev. Wayne Cottle will officiate with burial in Chapel Hill Baptist Church directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 7, 2010 from 3-5 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mt. Elon Baptist Church, Box 38, Lydia, SC 29079.
Mr. Steen died Friday, February 5, 2010. Born in Hartsville, SC, he was a son of Harold Wayne and Larue Teal Steen. He received an Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering. He was employed with Sonoco Products Company as an electrician. He was a loving husband, father and son and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife, Heather Grant Steen of Hartsville, SC; daughter, Emma Grey Steen of Hartsville, SC; father and mother of Hartsville, SC; brother, Allen (Lynn) Steen of Hartsville, SC; grandmother, Nancy Windham of Hartsville, SC.
